HOW IT WORKS
How It Works
Splits Network is the marketplace where companies and recruiters run hiring deals with clear roles, controlled visibility, and automated payout rules.
01 -- TWO DOMAINS
The marketplace engine, with privacy in mind
Splits.network is where companies and recruiters operate. It is the place to manage roles, review submissions, coordinate stages, and track the financial outcome of each placement.
Applicant.network is where candidates live. Candidates build profiles, track progress, and connect with recruiters. Splits Network references candidate data in a controlled way so the hiring workflow can move fast without exposing unnecessary personal details.
For companies
Post roles, review candidates, move stages, and authorize offers and hires with clear controls.
For recruiters
Manage submissions, representation workflows, and deal execution with a visible activity history.
One placement fee, split across specialized contributors
A single hire can involve multiple contributors. Each role exists to keep execution clean and accountability clear.
Candidate Recruiter
Manages the candidate relationship, positioning, interview coordination, and follow-through.
Candidate Sourcer
The contributor who originated or invited the candidate to the network. This role is designed for residual attribution.
Company Sourcer
The contributor who brought the hiring company onto the network. This role is designed for residual attribution.
Job Owner
Ensures job intake quality, requirements clarity, and accurate job setup so submissions stay high-signal.
Company Recruiter
Acts as pipeline manager for the company. Coordinates schedules, stage movement, and operational follow-up.
Role clarity and stacking
If one person legitimately holds more than one role on a placement, they can earn multiple slices tied to those roles.
02 -- VISIBILITY
Controlled review and approval-based access
Splits Network supports professional workflows while reducing avoidable privacy risk. Candidate information can be presented in a redacted format during early review so companies can evaluate fit without immediately exposing identity.
When a company approves a submission, the workflow can unlock deeper visibility and commits the deal to the platform rules. Marketplace contributors can support the deal, but only verified company admins can authorize final steps like offers and hires.
Redacted-first review
Review aligned submissions without needing full identity at the earliest step.
Approval unlocks the next layer
Approval advances visibility and triggers financial commitment rules.
Verified admin control
Only verified company admins can authorize offers and hires, even if others help run the pipeline.
03 -- MONEY RULES
Payout timing is automated
Splits Network reduces disputes by making payout timing and eligibility rules consistent and visible.
Payouts are released only after company funds have cleared and any configured retention or holdback period has ended. If a placement does not satisfy the job’s rules, the invoice can be voided and payouts are not released.
No funds, no payouts
No contributor is paid until the company has paid and funds have cleared.
Retention window
Jobs can include a 30, 60, or 90 day holdback period. Payouts release after the window ends and funds are cleared.
Unassigned slices
If a role is not assigned on a placement, that slice is not paid out to a participant.
A simple deal flow for companies and recruiters
The exact steps vary by role and permissions, but the lifecycle stays consistent.
Create the role
A company posts a role with requirements, fee settings, and any retention window.
Submit candidates
Recruiters submit candidates with structured evidence and clear role attachment for attribution.
Review and advance
The company reviews submissions, approves candidates to move forward, and advances stages with a visible history.
Hire and release payouts
After hire, payouts release only when funds clear and the retention window is satisfied, then distributions follow the predefined slices.
